November Book Recommendations

Warm, cozy, and totally not scary, now that Halloween has passed, readers can snuggle up with these new books to get them through November!

First up is the highly anticipated, and highly rated, Sally Rooney novel, Beautiful World, Where Are You? As usual, Rooney writes of seemingly ordinary people in extraordinary ways featuring struggles with mental health and its effects on relationships.

If you are looking for deeper, more meaningful fiction, We Can Be Heroes by Kyrie McCauley might be the book for you. The book describes three life-long friends working to keep their bond after a tragic school shooting. This book could be triggering for some readers so be wary of this.

One non-fiction read that is definitely worth your time is Carefree Black Girls by Zeba Blay. This series of essays shows “a celebration of Black Women in pop-culture” (Blay) while giving a powerful insight into the struggles and stereotypes that Black Women, specifically in America, face.

Finally, a lighter, diverse, and fun romance read is It All Comes Back to You by Farah Naz Rishi. This book centers around two exes reunited by each of their siblings dating one another; fans of rom-coms will adore this young-adult book!

All of these books have at least 4 out of 5 stars on Goodreads, so get to reading Tigers!
